At FOODĒ we believe that the freshest, cleanest ingredients make the best dishes. We also believe in supporting the local community by highlighting the products grown and harvested right here in this region. We have wonderful farm-raised meats from Sperryville; fantastic organically-grown vegetables from Washington's Birthplace; free-range chickens, sweet honey and hormone free eggs from Gladys. T

he list goes on, and we're doing our very best to bring those foods to you directly in our eatery and our market. Our single most important job is getting to know you, our customers. In the beginning, as we do that, we ask for your patience while we work out the kinks. And in exchange we promise to continue to seek out the best farmers, orchards, dairies and artisans. We'll soon be able to expand our menu and offer even more variety. Until then, we truly hope you enjoy our eatery and market. We're proud to be a part of the Downtown Fredericksburg Family.

Start off the day with something pretty!

Cold smoked salmon on an everything-seasoned puff pastry with chive cream cheese, purple onion, summer radish, heirloom grape tomatoes, baby arugula and cukes.
Brunch daily until 3pm.
Dinner starts at 5 o’ clock.
Happy Hour goodies in between.

We all day…everyday. 😉

Our $10 Grab Bag is a chicken salad melt with thick sliced sharp white cheddar cheese, country white bread, grainy mustard mayo and a side of our own potato chips. We’ll have it for you every day this week until 3pm
(And you won’t be wrong for also ordering a bowl of this week’s coconut carrot ginger soup…)

Grilled Calabrian Chicken with sweet potato salad, wild greens and cilantro oil. This Week’s $10 Grab Bag is a Rosie’s Fried Chicken Sando on a soft, local roll with , our own pickles, and a side of red-skinned potato salad.

Our new dinner menu is full of small plates, shareables, and a new set featuring grilled pork tenderloin. The plate is finished with dill labneh, charred snow peas, housemade chili-crisp and chopped marcona almonds.

Our new Farmer’s Market Havest plate is giving us all the feels of Spring: grilled teardrop lettuce skewers, celey root puree, crimini mushrooms, spring pea chimichurri and smoked paprika oil. The puree contains cream, but we can switch it out with our hummus to make it a fantastic vegan option. You can grab this or another one of our new spring dishes beginning this week for lunch and dinner!

As for this week ... our $10 grab bag is our char-grilled chicken salad sandwich. We’re all booked for Mother’s Day - but if you’re looking to get on our waitlist, just send [email protected] a note with your name, party size and phone number and we’ll do our best to get you in should someone cancel.

Finishing up the elements for a new dish at dinner: chili crisp, dill-infused labneh and yuzu. It goes on our new pork tenderloin + spring peas dish. It’s a little spicy, a little cool - and hits the menu just in time for !
