In 2007, our owner Lisa tasted a watermelon chamoy candy dusted with a delicate layer of chili powder — sweet, tangy, and finished with just the right touch of heat.

Inspired by that unforgettable flavor, she teamed up with Pete, our General Manager and Master Mixologist, to bring it to life in a glass. After countless pours, tweaks, and taste tests…The Mexican Candy was born.

What started as a simple idea quickly became a West Texas staple. From Lubbock to Midland, it built a loyal following and earned a legendary reputation.

Now, nearly two decades later, it’s still putting smiles on faces — one sweet-and-spicy sip at a time.
