I came to Fulton delivering Amazon packages, and I never imagined I'd leave with so many memories, lessons, and a piece of my heart here.
From Subtime near Walmart in Granby, to Taco Time at the waterfront - the City of Fulton gave me the chance to bring something back to life.
We tried our best. We served thousands of free meals, we gave away cheesecakes, we met amazing people.
And I need to say this loud, because a lot of people talk negative about Fulton... My experience was the complete opposite.
In city Fulton and town of Granby I met the NICEST customers I have ever dealt with in 16 years of business.
I met amazing families. Grandmas and grandpas who came in daily with a smile. Kids who were so polite. People who ate, then cleaned their own tables, left the place cleaner than they found it, left tips with a thank you note, and said "God bless you."
That's Fulton. That's the real Fulton I know.
For any business owner or restaurant owner reading this: If you have the power and have good management to open something, come to Fulton and Oswego County. There is so much opportunity here. There is almost no competition, and the people here are hungry for good places. If you come with good service and good food you will be SLAMMED. You will do great, because you will have the best customers.
Because of circumstances, I can't continue Taco Time as I had hoped, and for that, I sincerely apologize.
To my team - thank you and I'm sorry. I will do my best to help you find new jobs. To the City of Fulton, Mayor Jim Rice, Councilor Rhonda, and all the council members - thank you for the opportunity.
One last thing from my heart: I am leaving EVERYTHING inside Taco Time - all the equipment, everything I built - for the next person. I'm not selling it or moving it. I will coordinate with the City to pass it on. I want the next dreamer to have a head start, because I believe in this location.
