Listen ya'll, Gainesville Housing Authority had such an amazing event 🥹🥹. I am so thankful to be able to be apart of this amazing initiative 🫂💙

I told my coworker after the event that every single one of us are leaders..whether you're leading your pets(😂), children, friends, families or even just yourself(trust me, I know that sometimes it's extremely difficult to get yourself to act right 😂🤷🏾‍♂️); We're all leaders in some way 😌🖤

And as we realize that we have to understand that daily we take on more problems, pressure, responsibilities and challenges 😪

That's why it's so important to be because if you can learn how to manage the stress, conflicts and not be intimidated by life's obstacles, soooo many doors will open up for you 🥹🙏🏾

Ya'll, the fall gardens are thriving 👨🏾‍🌾🥹. We've got multiple varieties of Cabbage, Kale, Squash, Cauliflower, Broccoli, and Collards already ❗️❗️

Oh, and the "Eat Like It Matters" community dinner is solidified on my calendar 😏🙌🏾

Ya'll, what does hunger actually look like?

It doesn't always look like an empty refrigerator.

It can look like a parent deciding which groceries can wait. A working household stretching meals until payday. A neighbor managing rising expenses while trying to keep food on the table.

Food insecurity definitely about more than what's available today 🤷🏾‍♂️ It's also about the uncertainty of having enough tomorrow 😔

In Alachua County, these are conversations worth having.

So the question we have to ask ourselves is "can someone have a job, a home, and food in their refrigerator—and still experience food insecurity?" 🤔
