I want to thank the Creator for allowing me to cross paths with such a great soul, Mr. Larry Hendrix. When you moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Gainesville, Alabama, I truly believed we were going to become best friends, and I’m grateful that life brought us together.

Some people come into your life for a reason, and I thank the Creator for allowing our paths to cross. Larry, you are a special soul, and I want you to know that I love you, buddy! ❤️🙏🏾

Rising, my beloved family, friends, and Rib Shackers. ❤️🙏🏾

I need to share some things with all of you about what has been going on in my life. There have been many things happening behind the scenes that I haven’t shared with everyone.

Right now, I am in the process of penning a novel, and there is so much I want to tell you about my journey, my experiences, my struggles, and the lessons life has taught me.

Sometimes, people see the smiles, the barbecue, and the good times, but they don’t always know what a person is going through behind closed doors.

When the time is right, I will share more of my story with you all. For now, I want to thank the Creator for giving me the strength, courage, and wisdom to keep moving forward.

I love you all, and I appreciate every one of you who has stood by me through this journey. This is my life, my truth, and my story — and there is so much more to come.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to my cousin Cedric Burrell for coming all the way from Maryland to check on me last night. Cousin, it means more to me than words can express to know you took the time to come see about me. Family is a blessing, and I never take that love for granted.

Y’all already know Pitmaster Jamie Lee is more than just a BBQ man! I’m also an antique collector, a kerosene lamp collector, and a repairman of antique kerosene lamps! 🪔

And guess what? I don’t just collect them and repair them — I also create my own kerosene lamps from scratch using liquor bottles! 🍾🪔

I love working with my hands, bringing old treasures back to life, and creating something beautiful out of something unexpected. That’s just another one of my passions outside the smokehouse!

BBQ is my passion, antiques are my hobby, and creativity is in my blood! 🙌🏾🔥
