🎃 TRUNK OR TREAT IS BACK AT V PIZZA! 👻

Four locations. Candy by the trunkful. And one SPOOKY Sunday Funday.

Join us Sunday, October 25th at Mandarin, Fleming Island, Palm Valley or St. Augustine for Trunk or Treat, costumes, pumpkins, games and a full-on Halloween party.

The trunks pop open at 2 PM! Trunk or Treat is completely FREE and runs from 2–4 PM. Costumes are required to hit the trunks, so dress up, grab your candy bucket and Trick-or-Treat with us!

But the candy is just the opening act.

Yesterday I craved pizza. Today I’m savoring it.

Moral of the story? FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!

As someone who’s often reminded by the my kids that I’m “old school,” the bright side is I get to share some timeless wisdom with them! Whether it’s about life, love, or work, I’m always here to offer advice.

One thing I always stress to them is, “Be honest and open with people and remember, you can’t please everyone. After all, you’re not pizza!’

Love comes in many forms and often when you least expect it. Sometimes it’s a puppy, a first car, or even that special someone. But the one love you can always count on is the kind that comes in the shape of a triangle, with a thin crust and topped with amazing Italian ingredients!”

Sometimes, during these deep conversations with your kids, you have to embellish a bit…like when I tell them that no matter what, I will always love them more than pizza.

So when our pizzaiolos told me that THE PIZZA CUBANA was this week’s special, I had to remind myself, “It’s just a pizza. You do love your kids more...” 😄

BURGER MONDAY IS HERE FOR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT.

To be completely honest, I had a VERY different post prepared for today.

It smelled like another Victory Monday. It felt like another Victory Monday. And right up until that field goal in overtime, I was fully prepared to come on here talking about keeping the streak alive and how we’re definitely NOT superstitious about celebrating Jags wins with V Burgers.

Unfortunately, I’ve had to pivot. 😂

So instead of eating a V Burger to celebrate another win, I’ll be eating mine to bring me comfort and supplement the happiness I really thought the Jags were about to provide.

Sometimes the burger is celebratory.

Win or lose, we need the burger.

Without further ado, (re)Introducing our very own Memphis BBQ Pizza aka “The King.” This Pizza is the epitome of ‘Love At First Bite!”. The tender, slow roasted, pulled pork and mouth-watering Lillie’s Q BBQ sauce - make this pizza irresistible.

First we marinate the pork for 24 hours before we even put it in the ovens. Then, we let it slow cook in ourovens for hours. Then it’s time to pull it apart and sauce it up! I am trying to contain my excitement, but it’s pretty difficult. I simply hear the word BBQ and my mouth starts to water…

We start with our homemade dough containing only 5 ingredients (imported Italian “00” flour, fresh yeast, filtered water, sea salt, and a drizzle of EVOO) and add a layer of shredded mozzarella. Then, we pile on our marinated, roasted, and shredded tender pork shoulder tossed in the award-winning Lillie's Q Memphis style “SMOKY” BBQ sauce. Finally, we add fresh red onion, shredded cheddar cheese, another drizzle of the BBQ sauce, fresh basil, Pecorino Romano cheese, oregano, and EVOO!

Hey, my name is Paul and I am one of the owners of V Pizza….I would really appreciate it if you took the time to read this!!!!

About 9 years ago, at 3.5 years old, my youngest son was diagnosed with Leukemia. As a dad, I felt helpless. The only thing I could do was support and pray! It was an awful feeling…as bad as you can imagine.

But we were blessed with a diagnosis that was beatable if we followed the protocol, and after 3 years of treatment, I am blessed to say that he is happy, healthy, and about to celebrate his 13th birthday!

Today, we don’t say much about him when we talk about V for Victory, because so many families are dealing with the same and many times MORE complex and uphill battles than we faced. But he was the spark that lit this fire….

Because of our families’ experience 9 years ago, we started V for Victory. Today, the charity supports over 800 families EVERY SINGLE MONTH!

While they are eating at V Pizzas for free and the kids are leaving their treatments to get free Legos at the V4V Lego store….the part of the charity that this message is about is the “Ascension St. Vincent’s Business partner program”!

It’s called “Ascension St. Vincent’s” because it was them who reached out to us and said “we want to help this mission, what can we do”??

They asked us, “where do you need the most help”?

We explained that we had about 400 small business partners and they all joined V for Victory as a business partner through word of mouth ONLY. We didn’t have money to market this or hire dedicated employees to go out and spread the word….so they said, LET US HELP WITH THAT!!!

Because of Ascension St. Vincent’s, you are reading this message. They gave us a significant donation to spread the word throughout the year!!

Then they said, “How else can we help”….so we came up with the idea that we could do an event at a different V Pizza every other week to get small business owners and decision-makers to come out with their families to hear about what the charity is doing! We could give them free food, free b**r, and most importantly, explain to them what it means to be a V for Victory business partner!

It’s called Mondays That Matter, a new family-friendly gathering from V for Victory happening every other Monday at a different V Pizza location.

There’s no cost to attend. We just want you to come eat, have a b**r, meet some good people, and spend an hour and a half with us.

A completely new pizza is coming to your table this week.
We’re introducing THE MUSIC CITY PIZZA.

It beat every other entry in our recent pizza competition. And the person responsible for making it?
That would be JED.

If V Pizza were a town, Jed would be the mayor. Or at least be a campaign manager. Either way, he’d have the whole town involved.
If you frequent our Mandarin location, chances are you already know Jed.

Jed has been with us for two years and has already worked his way through FIVE positions: front of house, dish, the pizza line, summer intern with our corporate team, and now…he’s an assistant manager!

He’s energetic, sincere, ready for anything, and always willing to learn. An old soul with a drive and determination that most adults could take a few notes on.

And the most surprising part of all this? HE’S STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL.
He’s the kind of kid who makes people who don’t want kids say, “Well, if I could get a Jed…”

We’re beyond proud of him. And we’re proud that he’s been able to do all of this here.
We want people to come to V Pizza and see somewhere they can grow. Jed has put in the work, learned almost every position, and made the most of every opportunity. Now we get to serve HIS pizza.

Our biggest problem with Jed? He wants to go away for college.
We know he’s going places. We just wish those places would be a little closer to Mandarin. :)

And in good kid fashion, he loves his mama. So when it came time to create a pizza, her love of chicken and pickles gave him the idea.

THE MUSIC CITY PIZZA Aka Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza. Aka Jed’s Pizza.

As always, it starts with our house-made “00” dough. We top it with shredded mozzarella, Nashville hot chicken cutlet, pancetta, pickles, and red onion. Then we fire it up in our 900-degree wood-fired ovens and finish it with a chipotle ranch drizzle.
