Although owner, Eric Coley was born in Nashville, TN, he was raised on Texas style BBQ upon a move to Jasper, Texas in his early childhood. Eric’s BBQ passion is derived from father, Pete Coley’s love of entertaining where small cookouts turned into a successful business. PC’s Pit BBQ
went on to compete in the Houston Livestock Rodeo and BBQ Cookoff where the BBQ continued to wow the taste buds of the big city by winning best ribs and brisket, finishing with an overall best for Jasper County. PC’s Pit BBQ was beyond an award winning restaurant; it was a true staple in the community. Owner of EC’s Pit BBQ, Eric Coley spent almost 10 years working at his father’s restaurant in roles that varied from dishwasher to Pit Master. However in his mid 20’s he moved closer to his roots in Nashville, TN shying away from the restaurant business, but never losing his passion for cooking. It wasn't until more than a decade later and after the passing of Eric’s father, Pete in 2009 that he realized how much he missed BBQ as a way of life. Thus marking the start of the EC’s Pit BBQ in 2013.
