Today’s Triple Berry Cheesecake Shortstack is piled high with creamy cheesecake topping, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries—because sometimes more really is more.

A Bite of History: North America is home to dozens of native berry species, but blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries have been favorites for generations thanks to their sweet flavor and ability to thrive in a wide range of climates. We figured putting all three on one pancake stack was just common sense.

Stop in and treat yourself before this berry good special disappears.

Fresh strawberries. Sweet cream. A shortstack that tastes like the start of summer.

For today’s pancake special, we’re serving up a Strawberry & Cream Shortstack made with fresh strawberries and a little gratitude for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so the rest of us could gather around tables like this one.

Memorial Day began after the Civil War as “Decoration Day,” when families would decorate the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers. Turns out strawberries and remembrance both peak around the same time of year.

Come hungry. Leave berry happy.

Today’s special is our Butter Pecan Shortstack — proof that some things are just butter together. Fluffy pancakes, rich butter pecan flavor, and the kind of breakfast that makes Sunday feel a little less nuts.

Fun bite of history: Pecans are one of the only major tree nuts native to North America, and butter pecan desserts became especially popular in the South during the early 1900s thanks to the rise of homemade pralines and ice cream shops.

Stop in before they’re gone!

Good news: breakfast is still happening as usual.

Bad news for the lunch crowd: due to staffing, we’ll be closing today at 11:00 a.m., so lunch is taking the day off. Apparently even burgers need a personal day once in a while.

Come see us this morning for breakfast, coffee, and all the good stuff before we close early. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support of our hardworking crew.

We’ll be back tomorrow with regular hours.

Today’s special is a Chocolate Cherry Shortstack — rich chocolate, sweet cherries, and the kind of breakfast that says, “Mom deserves better than burnt toast and someone yelling about where their shoes are.”

Fun little history bite: chocolate-covered cherries became wildly popular in the early 1900s when candy makers realized people would happily eat fruit if it came with chocolate involved. A tradition we proudly continue today.

Bring Mom in for a stack, a coffee, and a meal she doesn’t have to cook herself. We’ll take care of the dishes.

Today’s special is our Caramel Corn Shortstack — fluffy pancakes piled high with caramel and popcorn. Basically breakfast decided to sneak into the movie theater and nobody stopped it.

Fun bite of history: caramel corn became a huge hit in the 1890s after it debuted at the Chicago World’s Fair. More than a century later, people are still proving caramel belongs on absolutely everything.

Get outside, enjoy the fresh air, then pop in for a stack before it disappears faster than the “just one bite” sample.

Today’s Sunday shortstack is a Chocolate Pretzel Shortstack—fluffy stacks, rich chocolate, and that perfect pretzel crunch that keeps things interesting. Kind of like spring in Minnesota… a little unpredictable, but worth it.

Bite of history: Chocolate-covered pretzels date back to the early 1900s in the U.S., when candy makers realized dipping a classic German pretzel into chocolate was the easiest way to win over just about everyone.

Come grab a stack before they disappear!

Today’s pancake special is doing a little international traveling… without leaving Minnesota. Introducing the Tiramisus Shortstack—layers of fluffy pancakes with rich espresso notes, creamy sweetness, and just enough cocoa to make you forget it’s still a little chilly out there.

Tiramisu, which means “pick me up” in Italian, dates back to the 1960s and was originally served as a dessert to give you a boost thanks to its coffee and cocoa combo. We figured… why not turn that energy into breakfast?

So if you need a little pick-me-up (or just an excuse to avoid cooking at home), we’ve got you covered.

Today’s special is a Fluffernutter Banana Shortstack—because nothing says “we survived another Minnesota morning” like peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, and bananas piled sky-high on pancakes.

It’s sweet, nostalgic, and just the right amount of over-the-top—like your favorite lunchbox sandwich all grown up and ready for brunch.

A little bite of history: the fluffernutter dates back to the early 1900s and took off during World War I as an affordable, high-energy combo. Peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, and now bananas? That’s just us improving a classic.

If the weather’s keeping you guessing, at least breakfast doesn’t have to.

Happy day-before-Easter!

Minnesota said “one more snowstorm for fun,” so the roads aren’t great—but it is pretty. If you venture out, we’ve got a reason to celebrate. Today’s special is a carrot cake shortstack topped with cream cheese and a Peep—Easter dessert for breakfast, as it should be.

A little bite of history: carrot cake goes back to medieval times, when carrots were used to sweeten desserts before sugar was common. Turns out, they were onto something.

Reminder: we’ll be closed tomorrow for Easter.

Drive safe, walk like a penguin, and treat yourself.
