Ziah’s USBC Popup is just a few days away! Grab a ticket for a session this Saturday to try this limited coffee from our friend and Producer Edwin Noreña. Edwin Noreña

If you miss the popup but still want to try a coffee from Edwin, we almost always have one of his coffees in rotation, which are usually found in our Pinkies Out line. You can find our retail bags online and on our shelves, or you can try them in real time as one of our deluxe pour overs. Each ticket includes a replica of the competition beverages served: espresso, milk beverage, and his signature beverage. Sessions are 30 minutes long.

What an incredible accomplishment. HUGE congratulations to Ziah Bloom for earning third place at the U.S. Barista Championship!

Ziah not only trains and coaches our baristas but also builds recipes and continually looks for ways to elevate our coffee program. This was Ziah’s first time competing on the U.S. Barista Championship stage, which makes his third-place finish even more incredible. When he made Finals, he had people’s attention because it is exceptionally rare for someone to place in the Top 6 on their very first attempt. We are incredibly proud of him and the way he represented Lamppost on the national stage.

The coffee he chose for competition was sourced specifically for this event from coffee producer and dear friend, Edwin Noreña of Quindío, Colombia. You may recognize Edwin’s name, as we’ve featured his coffees in previous competitions, including Golden Bean Americas and Worlds. We almost always have one (or several) of his coffees in rotation on our menus and shelves. We are deeply grateful for the ways Edwin has supported, encouraged, and championed us over the years.

From the very beginning, Ziah knew he wanted one of Edwin’s coffees to carry him to the U.S. Barista Championship stage, and it proved to be the perfect choice. He used this coffee in all three beverages presented to the judges: espresso, milk, and signature.
Throughout all rounds of competition, Ziah was consistent - delivering exceptional performances, hitting both his marks and his timing. As Sprudge quoted in their final round article, “Bloom is dialed in.”

Congratulations, Ziah! We couldn’t be more proud.
