I got to spend the week next to my Mother in New Hampshire. It's been filled with good food, Maple, birch trees, art, ramming the roads and making memories. It's been just what my soul needed after 6 weeks of hurricane Helene destruction. My heart is full, hopefully it will keep me going for all that comes next. As I find my new normal in our new world

I will be at the Fairview Community Center for the annual craft fair on Saturday November 9th from 9 to 2.

I am ok. My house is ok. I am alive. My world here in western NC will never be the same. My week has been a blur, it felt like it wasn't really happening.
My entire world turned upside down. Nothing will ever be the same. We have no power, and no hope for that anytime soon. I don't have cell service until I can get off the mountain. Luckily I can, some of my neighbors can't. I have no job to go back to, and all these extra things I need. It's been the craziest week ofy life.

I went to get Milkweed yesterday and my best field got mowed. It always makes my heart sink. It's part of the process, the farmers need the hay, but all I can think about is all the dead caterpillars. It's been a bad year for the Monarchs in my neck of the woods. And looks like there will be no big public butterfly releases this year. Sad.
