Some words stay with you long after you hear them.

Warren Zevon, the American rock singer and songwriter who frequently appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, shared those words during his final appearance on September 7, 2003, while reflecting on life and his own mortality.

“Enjoy every sandwich.”

It was a simple reminder to appreciate the little things, be present, and make the most of the time we have.

In the early days of getting to know each other, Joe and David talked about Warren’s story and how much those words resonated with them. It became a reminder of a philosophy we love: finding joy in the everyday moments, sharing good food, and never taking the little things for granted.
