You might know us as “The Cake Pop Couple,” but did you know Thomas also works part time for SkyWest out at the airport?

Our schedules are always busy, but that job comes with a pretty incredible perk: we get to fly for free on SkyWest and United!

If you stopped by the shop last week, you probably noticed we were missing. We took a week off to celebrate our anniversary and let the universe decide where we would go! We flew to Denver, walked through the airport, and looked for a flight to somewhere we’d never been, with two open seats. That kicked off an incredible adventure that took us coast to coast!

We’ve shared a few pictures here, including the estimated amount this trip would have cost in airfare but if you’d like to see the full journey, check out Thomas’s personal page.

As much fun as we had, this post is really about the people who made it possible. Kadi, Ryker, and Jadyn held down the fort all week, including through Halloween, while we were away. They kept the shop running and our customers taken care of, giving us the chance to step away and enjoy this adventure together.

Every small business owner knows how much it means to have employees you can count on. We are so grateful for ours.

We’re giving away 80 FREE cake pops this Halloween to kiddos in costume, from 1-5 or while supplies last!

Teenagers, you’re welcome, too! We love seeing you enjoy Halloween, just come dressed up and ready to join the fun.

We do ask that older teens and adults be considerate of the limited supply. If you’re stopping by after work or college with a last-minute mask on, please leave the free cake pops for the younger trick-or-treaters.

These treats are a gift from our small business, paid for out of our own pockets. We’re happy to do it, we just want those 80 cake pops to reach the kids they’re intended for.

What a great community we live in!

When we participated in the Dancing with the Gillette Stars, we had a lot of fun razzing the other teams but the truth is, we built some great friendships!

We had a delivery heading to Wheatland for Western Coffee Co. We had a crazy busy week preparing for our vacation and we asked if anyone was heading that way. Lindsey Lundvall was happy to reach out and offer to take them for us on their way to Laramie!

This means the crew there was greeted by a giant man holding a box of cake pops! As always, the Western coffee crew was so sweet and kind. Thank you to the Lundvalls for making our week a little easier and thank you to Western Coffee Co for supporting our business!
