I'm not going to be at the market today.

I'm doing everything I can to get back to baking for you, but today is not the day. I'm actually writing this from the doctor's office, where I just got another shot of steroids in hopes that my lungs stop misbehaving and allow me to breathe 🫤

Cross your fingers that I get some relief and can get back to what I love... Making cookies for everyone and seeing your smiling faces 🙂

Hey, friends!

If you have been around for any amount of time, you know my health is kinda iffy and I have limits. There are always a few weeks a year that I'm grounded inside the house, and this is one of them. Unfortunately, that means I won't be at the Manteno Market on Wednesday 🫤

The short story is that I don't have a properly functioning heart or lungs, so I can't be outside in the excessive heat 🥵🔥 Hopefully we'll go back to regular hot weather and I'll see you soon!

I brought lots of yummy treats!
Chocolate chip cookies, double chocolate cookies, rainbow cake, applebee rhubarb cake, blueberry coffee cake, PBJ bars, banana zucchini muffins, and s'mores brownies are going fast 🏎️💨 I've already run out of a couple things 😳

Exciting news! This Saturday, we'll be making a special appearance at the Kankakee Farmers' Market for PRIDE DAY 🏳️‍🌈

You can find us on Schuyler Ave with the other vendors and friends of the Kankakee Area LGBTQ Network, where I'll have lots of your favorites and, of course, some Pride-themed treats and snacks 😋

If you were too late to get any of our rhubarb treats on Sunday at the Rhubarb Festival, I have you covered!

We sold out so quickly, I promised many of you I'd bring more to the Manteno Market tonight. Apple rhubarb cake, blueberry rhubarb crisp blondies, and strawberry rhubarb shortcake are all on the menu for this afternoon.

I'll also have plenty of chocolate chip cookies, cookie dippers, Cookie Monster cookies, Birthday Cake cookies, and more 😋
