NEW HOURS.. EFFECTIVE TODAY!!

We are now back to being OPEN Thursday through Tuesday from 7:30am to 1pm and CLOSED on Wednesdays.

Another quick update: We’ve had many people reach out asking when vegan pastries will be returning. While this makes Melissa’s heart incredibly happy, she is still on a bake break while recovering from her accident and upcoming surgery.

Until she is back to doing what she loves most, we’ll continue sourcing fresh baked Mexican pastries from our family and friends at La Purisima. Don’t worry, we’ll definitely post updates when our baked goods make their return.

As always, we truly appreciate the love and support you continue to show our small family business. We urge our community to please support ANY and ALL local coffee shops over corporate chains whenever possible!! 🫶🏼

Tomorrow, we are shutting it down for the day.

We are closing our doors because this is about our community. Our neighbors. Our elders. OUR CHILDREN. The people who walk through our doors and treat us like family.

What is happening right now is harm disguised as policy. Fear is being used as a weapon against communities of color and anyone who dares to resist.

There is no neutrality when children are afraid to go to school. There is no justice when peaceful people are met with gas and pepper spray. There is no safety when doing the right thing costs lives.

We choose community over comfort.
We stand with immigrants and communities all across the country being affected.
We stand against ICE.
We stand for each other.

This Saturday, December 20, at Homage Coffee House, we are coming together for family.

Earlier this month, our close family members Jakob, Andrea, and their son Liam, suffered an unimaginable loss. Their sweet baby boy, Nicholas, passed away. Baby Nicholas was cousin to our granddaughters, Cleo and Mimi.

We are asking our Homage community to please keep this beautiful family lifted in your prayers during this difficult and heartbreaking time.

To support them, this Saturday we will be donating 100% of our sales to help with funeral expenses and the costs that come with taking time away from work to grieve and care for one another. They also have a GoFundMe account set up https://gofund.me/8f8ca10b0 if you would like to contribute there. The link is also posted in our bio.

Family means everything to us. If you’re able, we hope you’ll stop by, treat yourself to your favorites, and help us wrap this family in love and support when they need it most.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been four years in downtown Glendale. What started as a little dream built on craft coffee, pastries, and house-made syrups has grown into something we never could’ve imagined.

We’ve poured our hearts (and plenty of coffee) into this place, and along the way we’ve made friendships, memories, and a community that mean the world to us. The love and support from all of you is what keeps us going—and being named one of Yelp's Top 100 Coffee Shops in the U.S. ( #97!) still feels unreal.

Owning a business is not for the faint of heart. This year alone has tested us in every way possible—me being rear-ended by a semi, Yari’s collarbone surgery after her car accident, Mike's medical emergency this past Sunday (thank you to those who showed grace as our “emergency crew” rushed in that last hour of the day).

Through all of it, we’ve stayed true to who we are—creating with intention, sharing our own recipes, and offering flavors made with care. We’ve never begged for reviews; every kind word has come organically from the people who’ve experienced Homage Coffee House for themselves. That’s why this recognition feels so deeply earned.

Today, we are honored to share that Homage Coffee House has been named one of Yelp's Top 100 Coffee Shops in America ( #97! You have to scroll WAAAAAYYYY down 🤣) with the article featured in Food & Wine magazine.

This honor belongs to our family, friends, and customers who have stood beside us—pushing us forward, supporting us, and becoming family in the process. Deep gratitude as well to our friends at La Purísima, who stepped in this summer to help us fill our pastry case when I needed time to heal and our oven needed repair. And special love to my dad, Henry, and to our daughters—Yari, Liv, Zulema, and Mykal—none of this exists without your sacrifices and love.

We’re not perfect, but we are authentic. We care. We give our all to make a space where everyone belongs. That’s what Homage is about. We remain humbled and deeply grateful to all who continue to support our small family business.
