Historically, the Willow Rest has been the singular outpost on the Riverdale/Annisquam side of Cape Ann for a bite to eat, or a cup of coffee. In July 2009 Melissa Donati beautifully re-invigorated the Willow Rest, and she now provides locals and visitors alike a wonderfully expanded selection of foods and services:

I really do not know what to say……except I am sorry …..sorry because I loved our store….I loved our customers.
We have made a decision today to permanently close. The staffing issues have taken a toll on me my husband and my mental health. Impossible to run a business properly and take care of our customers
It has been an incredible 13 plus years and I am so thankful for everything and everyone. All the support and times when I needed support and love …..those know who you are
I am heartbroken
