Happy Labor Day from Debbie 🇺🇸
I’ve been in my kitchen this morning making Italian sausage breakfast eggs and cheese handhelds for a quick breakfast grab-n-go option AND I made authentic Brazilian cheese bread for the first time 🤩
*Both The Brazilian cheese bread (made with tapioca flour) and the sausage egg bites are a great gluten free option AND are freezer friendly.

What’s for dinner, you ask? Why it’s some YUMMY DE silver queen corn, DE tomatoes (and if you haven’t had DE tomatoes you absolutely do not know what your are missing! Although Hanover local tomatoes will do in a pinch, there is NOTHING like a tomato grown in the sandy soil of the Eastern Delmarva peninsula coast!) and yes…there is a beefy burger with cheese on a toasted garlic butter onion bun with a glass of fresh lemonade 🤩

I love all kinds of winter squash! And I love when my hubby goes shopping 🛒 for us - I never know what will pique his interest and will bring home for us to try. Today, he went for a quick stop at the grocery to get acorn, butternut and spaghetti squash for our meals this week but I was really wanting the acorn squash to go with our steak and chimichurri sauce for tonight’s dinner. (I went for the ride with him but he went in to pick up the short list because I was not looking presentable for public. Which is another whole story as I had to think of my mom who would have been horrified since I was not “appropriately prepared” in case of an accident 😳) I was beginning to wonder if he had been kidnapped because it was taking a long time to pick up 3 squash! I was glad to see him coming back to the car! I asked what in the world??? He had picked up an interesting looking squash, a kabocha Japanese pumpkin. (But the cashier had no idea what it was or how to ring it up so it took a forever) So tonight we are trying a new type of winter squash- I will let you know
