Today we had thee absolute pleasure and honor in checking out A Slice Above! We walked in and asked for one of everything in the display and we got exactly that. We met Brian, one of the owners and he was very warm and inviting. The ambience of the store alone says “Take a load off and just relax. A sweet treat and some tea never hurt anybody honey.” We were absolutely tickled by the creativity in fusion of flavors that are bold yet familiar. The types of personal sweets that make you blush. Did I add Valentine’s Day is just around the corner…cough, cough. Very reasobanly priced, accommodating and have to say very delicious. The proof is in the bake. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out their store front, do yourself a favor. Continue to support your local and small businesses. It’s all of you that make it possible! Spreading the word is free. We will absolutely be back!

We've been in hiding and apologies for the silence, been busy getting things in order, because, let's face it, you deserve the best.

We're not sure when we'll be back, no ETA, but it'll be super soon, and we promise you (as most of you know😉) we’re worth it. Patience is a virtue my friends, or so I'm told, haha.

👋🏻👋🏾We are currently seeking a location for the WINTER MONTHS!
-Having a fixed base will enable us to establish a more regular schedule. We will continue to travel to surrounding areas (weather permitting☃️🌨️) to provide our delicius eats to new and familiar communities. Any recommendations for a suitable location in the Grand Island/Hastings area would be welcome. TIA!

✨Come Monday November 24th, be on the lookout for more details regarding our first ‘Thanks-give-back’ for the community as well as our first annual “Feed Not Greed” event.

Listen guys, I’ve not been a huge coffee fan by any means but boy oh boy does Baribal Coffee know exactly what they are doing! Decided to grab a “pick me up” from their Holiday drink menu. Went with the ‘Candy Cane Mocha’ and ‘Cookies and Crème’ and they are both equally delicious! With that being said, not a fan of coffee? They also have lemonades, energy drinks, dirty sodas and then some! If you haven’t already, go see them as well as check out their page! You won’t regret it!

Hey Soul-Foodies! A little lengthy but worth checking out. We decided to pop out in Hastings again for some lunch. We’ve heard great things and decided to check out P's Lunchbox. The owners are very kind and welcoming! (Don’t worry Miss P. You understood the assignment.) We grabbed the “Loaded Nachos” and the “Smothered Pork Chop” plate. If you can’t tell, everything was “sooooo good.” Thank you for being apart of the community and bringing delicious bites! Overstood is an understatement!
