Our area of heavy rainfall is moving in just a tad early today, with much of our precipitation already over Lake Michigan, and entering west Michigan as of 10:32 am EDT 6/17/26. If you missed our rainfall map for today, scroll back on our page to view. Localized totals of 2-3”, maybe more will be possible across southern Michigan by the end of the day.

We will need to watch for atmospheric recovery behind the line of showers for the potential for severe weather later this afternoon and evening.
