Field & Fire Café is an expansion of our original bakery. The café features breakfast and lunch focusing on local, organic ingredients, making simple dishes with big flavor…. We’ll be bringing hand-made breads, pastries, breakfasts, lunches, and coffee drinks to the North Monroe district of downtown Grand Rapids. Our goal is to make the best breakfast and lunch in Grand Rapids. We will continue to

make naturally leavened, whole grain products to help ensure they are as healthy as possible. Our mission at Field & Fire Café is to sell real, wholesome, and flavorful food and pastries. We are guided by a desire to participate in the health of our customers and this leads us to support sustainable farming and slow food practices. We truly hope to help our customers embrace whole grains and food made by local people who care.

These new muffins are like summer wrapped up in pastry form.

We brought back the vegan lemon poppyseed muffin with lavender glaze, the perfect mix of citrus and floral flavors. 🍋

We're also reintroducing the Michigan rhubarb muffin made with rhubarb from the Fulton Street Market. The start of summer in Michigan is one of the best times of year to bake with local produce and we are making the most of it!

After spending years on our catering menu, we decided to pull it up to the cafe menu as well.

Chickpeas, celery, onion, spicy vegan mayo, spinach, and red pepper all wrapped in an el milagro flour tortilla.

Mother’s Day brunch is on! 🍓💕

Treat yourself to a plate strawberry rhubarb french toast, you deserve it mama!

Our slice of our light, fluffy milk bread in a cinnamon vanilla batter, topped with rhubarb, organic strawberries, organic maple syrup, and house-made whipped cream.

What makes this rhubarb so special is that it was hand foraged by Shelby at his dear friends Jason and Kris Spaulding's home right in in Fulton Heights, who you may know as the owners of Broad Leaf Brewery & Spirits - Kentwood and Vivant Brewery + Spirits. Doesn't get much more farm to table than that!
