Last month I had the honor of being in a room filled with brilliance, purpose, and Black excellence at an event hosted by Experience Grand Rapids

My company had the opportunity to provide the service staff for the evening, and I’m incredibly proud of my team for showing up with professionalism and excellence. Watching them represent our brand so well in a room like that meant everything.

One of the highlights of the night was meeting and having the chance to speak with .rome, who served as the Executive Chef to . Hearing him share his journey from the perseverance to the transitions and the growth felt incredibly timely.

As someone who is very much in the middle of my own evolution, his message landed in a way that felt almost divine. Sometimes you find yourself in rooms that confirm you’re on the right path.

Also a special thank you to Sugah Please Breakfast Brunch Bar for the beautiful food that evening. It was an honor for my team and I to support the experience.

Grateful for the conversation.
Grateful for the inspiration.
And grateful for the journey that keeps putting me in rooms like this 🙏🏾

What a weekend 🥹✨
Thank you to the International Wine, Beer & Food Festival () for hosting, to for being our steady branch, and to every single customer who sold us out both nights.

Pop-ups aren’t usually my lane, but meeting new faces, hearing “this is the best food here,” and watching people’s reactions as they tasted our food gave me the spark I didn’t know I needed.

Just when I think I’m running on empty, my clients refill my cup.
