Talk about marching to the beat of your own drum! 🎷🏈

Meet Josh Wymore, Grapevine High senior, Mustang football player AND member of the Mustang Band!

Josh wears two hats (well, technically a helmet and a saxophone strap), and when halftime rolls around, he doesn't exactly blend into the crowd. While his fellow band members performed, Josh was out there playing saxophone in full football pads!

And yes, he does this during every halftime show!

If you spotted #45 on the field last night, now you know the story behind this one-of-a-kind Mustang. He's proof that you don't have to choose between Friday night lights and the marching band. You can do both!

Add this Colleyville house to your trick-or-treating route tonight! 🎃

If you love a house that goes ALL OUT for Halloween, check out the display at 6008 Bettinger Drive in Colleyville. 💀🦈🪦

Skeletons, spooky graveyards, a creepy carriage, pirates and plenty of Halloween surprises fill the yard. And the homeowner says it’s best after dark, when all those colorful lights really bring it to life!

One of our hometown girls is about to star in one of the year’s most anticipated movies! 🎥 🎞️

McKenna Grace, who was born right here in Grapevine, is stepping into the world of Panem as part of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, hitting theaters November 20, 2026. And she’s already out making the press rounds for the highly anticipated film! 🎬

If you’ve followed McKenna’s career, you know she’s been a Hollywood standout since she was just a little girl. Her résumé is seriously impressive for someone who is only 20!

She’s appeared in major films including Gifted, I, Tonya, Captain Marvel, Annabelle Comes Home, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. She’s also made appearances in hit television series like The Handmaid’s Tale and The Haunting of Hill House. Talk about a career!

So what’s her new movie about?

Sunrise on the Reaping takes us back 24 years before the original Hunger Games story, following a young Haymitch Abernathy as he enters the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. McKenna plays Maysilee Donner, a District 12 tribute who becomes an important part of Haymitch’s story.

The star-studded cast also includes Joseph Zada, Elle Fanning, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Maya Hawke and Kieran Culkin.

From growing up in Grapevine to joining one of Hollywood’s biggest movie franchises, McKenna Grace is one to watch!

We love seeing hometown talent make it BIG! ❤️

If the lines seemed a little longer Friday, there's a reason! 🗳️

The final day of early voting turned out to be the busiest of the entire early-voting period at Grapevine Public Library, with 1,914 voters on Oct. 30. The same was true at Southlake Town Hall, with 2,118, and the Colleyville Recreation Center Annex A, with 1,489.

Overall, Tarrant County saw a big jump from the last midterm election: 571,950 early in-person votes in 2026 compared with 389,285 in 2022, an increase of nearly 47%.

Early-voting traffic also increased at all three local voting locations compared with 2022: Grapevine +19%, Southlake +10% and Colleyville +29%.

And Friday was the busiest day countywide, too, with 62,656 people casting ballots.

📍 Remember: These figures show ballots cast at each voting location, not the number of residents from each city who voted.

🇺🇸 Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Facebook detectives, we need your help! 🔎

Rebecca Byron was out for a walk this morning when she stumbled upon something pretty special: 10 handwritten recipe cards near the corner of Dooley and Dallas Road.

The cards appear to be quite old and had gotten a good soaking from the sprinklers. Rebecca believes they may have belonged to someone’s grandmother, and she’d love to get them back into the right family’s hands.

These aren’t just recipes; they could be a little piece of family history, handwritten and passed down through generations.

Let’s do what Grapevine does best and help reunite them with their family!

Do your thing, Facebook!

There’s a new hockey team in town and North Texas hockey fans have a new reason to get excited! 🏒🦂

Meet the Texas Scorpions, a semi-professional hockey team getting ready to hit the ice for its inaugural season! Based in Northlake, the team plays at Children’s Health StarCenter MultiSport, giving our area a new opportunity to catch some live hockey close to home.

And here’s the local connection we love! ❤️

Two players on the roster have ties right here to our community:

🏒 Ethan Smith is a Grapevine native with more than 20 years of hockey experience. He’s also coached with Dallas Stars Elite.

🏒 Matthew Kruse came up through the Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage hockey program and competed at the state tournament level.

The Scorpions compete in the semi-pro Colonial Hockey League, and their season includes matchups against teams from across the country.

The season gets underway soon, with home games beginning November 6-7 against the New York Bravest.

🎟️ Want to catch a game? Visit texasscorpions.com for the schedule and tickets.

Let’s show these Scorpions some North Texas support! 🦂🏒

🧵 WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES, A NEW FABRIC STORE OPENS! ❤️

Remember JoAnn Fabrics in Grapevine? Well, here’s a story we absolutely love!

Some of the former JoAnn employees weren’t ready to say goodbye to their sewing community when the store closed. So they decided to do something about it… and opened a store of their own!

And get this: they’re just feet away from the old JoAnn location! How fun is that?!

The new locally owned shop is ready to welcome the sewing community with fabric, notions, sewing classes, sewing machine repairs, and sewing machines from Husqvarna Viking and Singer.

And now they have their sign up, too! 🎉

So if you’ve been missing your fabric-shopping fix, you have a new place to visit!

🐉 FINAL: Southlake Carroll 43, Timber Creek 19!

One heck of a Senior Night show for the Dragons! Blake Gunter had a monster night, rushing for 100+ yards and scoring 3 touchdowns as Southlake Carroll put up 43 points and continued its impressive run through district play.

The Dragons improve to 6-0 in district and 7-2 overall, keeping their perfect district record intact!

Here’s another impressive stat: This marks the fourth time this season Carroll has eclipsed 40 points. That offense is rolling!

Congratulations to the Dragons on another big win! 🐉🔥

FINAL: Colleyville Heritage 35, Grapevine 20 🏈

The Red Rail Rivalry was a battle, and the final score doesn’t tell the whole story! This one was tight throughout the first half, with just a one-point difference at the break. But Colleyville Heritage found another gear in the second half, pulling away late to secure the 35-20 win.

The victory moves the Panthers to 5-4 and officially clinches their spot in the postseason! Grapevine falls to 3-6.

Congratulations to Colleyville Heritage on the rivalry win and playoff berth! And to the Mustangs, keep that grit and fight going. ❤️💙🚂🐴

RED RAIL RIVALRY: SPIRIT WEAR THAT GIVES BACK 🐾

Heading to Mustang Panther Stadium tonight for the Red Rail Rivalry? Make sure to swing by Panther Provisions, the Colleyville Heritage High School Spirit Shop. From Panther tees, hats and sweatshirts to specialty finds like custom CH bling shirts, sparkling bag straps, polos and even cozy blankets and hand warmers, they’ve got plenty of ways to show your Panther pride. 🐾

But here’s what makes this shop extra special: It’s 100% volunteer-run by the CHHS PTSA, and 100% of the profits go right back into programs supporting students and staff!

The shop also gives students hands-on experience. Senior Karsyn Thomas is serving as this year’s marketing intern, putting skills she’s learned in the classroom to work in a real retail setting.

So whether you’re looking to add a little Panther pride to your wardrobe or pick up some last-minute game-day gear, stop by and support a great cause!
