After 17 years, tonight, Wednesday April 22nd, Irish session at Patrick’s is playing its final tunes.
Blayne Chastain, Natalie Padilla, and Jeff Bain (and friends) started this session in February 2009, back when we first opened our doors. Natalie moved on years ago as her music career took her elsewhere, and Blayne and Jeff have kept it going every week since. Seventeen years of trad tunes in a small pub in downtown Greeley is no small thing, and we’ve been lucky to host it the whole run. All good things run their course, and after a long, wonderful stretch, this one has come to a close. We wish Blayne, Jeff, and all the musicians who’ve been part of it the very best in whatever musical pursuits lie ahead. Come down Wednesday night, grab a pint, and catch the last one. Thanks to everyone who ever pulled up a chair with an instrument over the years, a packed room would be the right way to close it out. Sláinte. 🍻
