One of the unexpected gifts of opening Scoot's has been the people who walk through our doors.

This week, we had a surprise visit from a retired firefighter, John Scheuneman, who knew our dad, Scott, back in his fire service days. As if that wasn't enough to make us smile, he also happened to be the father of girls we grew up with, and a familiar face from our neighborhood.

And because some people just understand how to make an entrance, he arrived with boxes of Weber's Bakery chocolate donuts - truly a taste of home.

We are grateful for these types of friendships that help make life slow down and feel good. Moments like these make this café about so much more than coffee and breakfast. They connect the chapters of our lives in ways we never expect.

Thanks for stopping by John, for the memories, and for the donuts. 😉🍩
