❤️🍦 One Last Scoop. One Last Goodbye. 🍦❤️

Tonight at 6PM, following the Farmers Market and before Music in the Park, we'd love to see you one more time.

We'll be handing out a limited number of free ice cream cups and free drinks as a small thank you to the community that supported us for so many years.

Come grab a scoop, grab a drink, share a memory, and say goodbye one more time in a much more relaxed atmosphere than our final day.

If you'd like to contribute, we'll have a free will donation jar available, but most importantly, we just want the chance to spend a little more time with the people who made Jay's Deli what it was.

The love, kindness, stories, hugs, and support we've received from Grinnell over the past few weeks have meant more than we can possibly express.

We are incredibly grateful for this community and for every person who ever walked through our doors.

So stop by, enjoy some ice cream, and let us thank you one more time before heading over to Music in the Park.

❤️ One More Scoop, One More Chance to Say Hi ❤️

Tomorrow night during Music in the Park, we'll be hosting a free ice cream social right here at Jay's.

If you'd like to stop by, grab a free cup of ice cream from our freezer, say hello, share a memory, or just hang out for a bit in a much more relaxed setting, we'd love to see you.

First, thank you.

The support we received on Memorial Day was overwhelming in the best possible way. The kindness, the stories, the hugs, the tears, the laughter, and the sheer number of people who came out to say goodbye meant more to us than we'll ever be able to put into words.

Over the last week, we've also been humbled by the countless messages, comments, conversations, and well wishes we've received while out and about in the community. Every one of them has reminded us just how lucky we were to be part of Grinnell.

As for what's next, we're still exploring possibilities.

We're open to ideas, conversations, partnerships, investors, buyers, creative solutions, or anything else that might help write the next chapter of Jay's. If something comes to mind, we'd love to hear from you.

To Our Jay’s Deli Family ❤️

Due to circumstances outside of our control, Jay’s Deli will be closing and ending daily operations.

This place became so much more than sandwiches and ice cream to us. It became a gathering place, a first job, a lunch tradition, a safe place to land, and a community we truly loved being part of every single day.

To every customer who walked through our doors, shared our posts, brought in friends and family, tipped our staff, laughed with us, supported us through hard times, or simply chose us for lunch - thank you. You helped build something that mattered.

We are deeply grateful for the years, memories, friendships, and support this community gave us.

That said… the story may not be completely over.

Jay’s Deli is being offered as a turnkey business opportunity for the right buyer - fully equipped, established, and deeply loved by the community. If someone has dreamed of owning a restaurant, deli, ice cream shop, or downtown gathering place, we would love to see this space continue serving Grinnell in a new chapter.
