Dear fans,
A letter to you which is never easy to write. We are sorry to say that due to a lack of cooperation of our landlords, the person interested in keeping Wedgewood open will not be able to do so. So, this Sunday or sooner if supplies don't last that long, we will be closing our doors.
We have so many people to thank for these past five years of business.
First and foremost, a thank you to Fernando Riccioni and his Wedgewood family in Youngstown for opening his business and trusting us to carry on the Wedgewood name. We spent over a year and a half working in the Austintown location before even looking for a place in Columbus. He and his employees showed us what commitment to a great product, and community involvement is all about, and we cannot thank them enough for their help.
Secondly a HUGE thank you to our LOYAL Youngstown fans, who were the reason we started this venture over 6 years ago. You not only helped us open our doors with a bang in 2010, but you continued to spread the word all throughout Columbus and across several states. Not many businesses are fortunate to have the support you have given us. We could always identify those friendly faces as you walked into our shop, and shared the Youngstown stories as you waited for you pizza to be done.
Next, we'd like to thank our newer friends from Grove City, and surrounding communities who supported us, and also spread the word to their neighbors. Those friends also included businesses, schools, and churches who entrusted us with their events like festivals, academic and sports banquets, and other community events here in Grove City, and as far out as Hilliard, Dublin and downtown Columbus. You truly understood how to support a community and their businesses.
Finally, we would like to thank our employees who have helped us grow these past five years. We have had the pleasure of hiring kids for their first job, watching them build relationships with each other, one of which will soon result in marriage, beaming with pride for their academic growth which have lead to many graduations from high school through college, and making long-lasting friendships which included their families that will touch our lives forever. Also two of our original hires stuck with us through it all, so we would like to especially thank Amber Keller and Chris Illes for their hard work and dedication. We can't wait to see what life has in store for their future.
We did our best to bring our passion for pizza and community to Columbus and know that this business would have not been worthwhile without all of your support and friendship, but we also know that time with our family is important as well, and for that reason, we needed to make this change. Thank you for all you have given us, and we wish all of you best!
