A little insight into the realities of dining at a small, independent restaurant. 💛
When you have a dining room with limited seating, every table matters — especially during prime dinner hours. Unlike larger restaurants, we have a finite number of seats, and once those seats are filled, we’re often fully booked for the evening.
That’s why turn times are so important. We never want anyone to feel rushed through a meal, and we believe good hospitality means giving our guests the time and attention they deserve. But there’s also a balance between allowing guests to enjoy their experience and making sure we can welcome the next reservation waiting for a table.
When a table stays occupied well beyond its reservation window during our busiest hours, it can create a ripple effect for the entire evening — delaying incoming reservations, limiting walk-ins, and ultimately preventing other guests from experiencing what we have to offer.
We’re a small restaurant, not a large operation with endless tables and space to spare. Every reservation, every table, and every service matters to our team and our livelihood.
We appreciate every single person who chooses to dine with us, and we ask for a little understanding in return. Our goal is never to rush you out the door — it’s to create a wonderful experience for you while making room for others to enjoy one, too.
Thank you for supporting small, independent restaurants and understanding the little things that help keep us going.
We love y’all and will see you real soon 💛
