Sabo's Subs

Sabo's Subs C St Location has moved permanently to
29 Ocean Blvd At the time, the concept of "wraps" was brand new but quickly became a wildly popular choice at the beach.

Introducing "Syrian Subs" to Hampton Beach in 1968, the original founders combined the first two letters of their last names: Saide & Boisvert to create Sabo's (pronounced SAY-BO). The Sabo's name was later purchased by Todd Ross in the 1980's. Todd was a highly respected, local surfer who built the Sabo's brand around the activity that he loved so much. Today, we are following Todd's lead, creati

ng an environment that would make any surfer feel right at home. And for those trivia fans out there yes, the surfer flying through the O in our Sabo's logo, with a sandwich in his hand, is our salute to Todd, blond hair, sunglasses and all!

Our Story

Introducing "Syrian Subs" to Hampton Beach in 1968, the original founders combined the first two letters of their last names: Saide & Boisvert to create Sabo's (pronounced SAY-BO). At the time, the concept of "wraps" was brand new but quickly became a wildly popular choice at the beach. The Sabo's name was later purchased by Todd Ross in the 1980's. Todd was a highly respected, local surfer who built the Sabo's brand around the activity that he loved so much. Sadly, Todd died unexpectedly in 2006. In 2016, Glen & Terri Gagnon purchased Sabo’s. Knowing Todd quite well and being Sabo’s customers since its founding in 1968, they renovated the kitchen and dining room areas while respecting original Sabo’s sandwich recipes. In an effort to weave in a bit of Todd’s spirit and to create an environment that would make any surfer feel at home, they introduced 1960’s Beach movies on a wide screen TV in the dining room all to the tune of Beach Boys music. And for those trivia fans out there yes, the surfer flying through the O in our Sabo's logo, with a sandwich in his hand, is Glen & Terri’s salute to Todd, blond hair, sunglasses and all!
