My Partner in Buttercream and I took a day trip down to our home away from home, The Outer Banks on Saturday.
We encountered a bit of rain, but have no fear sealevelcoffeekitchen was just the refuge we needed. The Avocado Toast was utter perfection and the CoYo bowl is what light breakfast eaters dream of.
Our next stop was to visit a Hampton Roads chef who has relocated to Waves at Waves Market & Deli for some beach snacks. Sam took some time and chatted and even snuck us some Tuna Poke (that literally melted in your mouth) while we waited for our sandwich. He has curated an inventive menu that has something for everyone. The “Kelly Kapowski” was perfect for an ocean side meal. And the libations his family has selected for the market side? Unmatched. Go, like NOW!
Across the street at REAL Watersports managed to have the FRIENDLIEST staff and the coolest selection of clothing and suits for all sizes!
After lounging on Pea Island for the afternoon we headed to dunestreetobx and were again met by the most accommodating staff who helped two beach bums find a seat at the bar to take in the World Cup game and enjoy some incredible seafood. The oysters were *chefs kiss, the Crab Rangoon were the perfect balance of creamy and crabby and I do not know what they bread their fish and chips with, but I want it on everything. Forever.

Our family did gourmet s’mores one year and I can’t recommend it enough! Sub out your graham cracker for a chocolate chip cookie? Make the chocolate bar Andes mints? Peanut butter cup stuffed in there anyone? That sparked a flame (see what I did there) and the aftermath was this beaut. Our Peanut Butter Smores Bar. Chocolate chip cookie, milk chocolate, peanut butter, marshmallow and more chocolate chip cookie is a combo sure to have you seeing fireworks.

All-Star weekends continue!!! Thank you SO MUCH to the poquosonlittleleague 9-11 team for trusting us to make your team bonding pool party even sweeter! GOOD LUCK this weekend.

Did you know your local Little League could always use volunteers? What a great way to be service minded and to give back to the community. I know the Cupcake King and myself will be out there supporting these kiddos in the box and concessions. Make sure you check in with your local league and see how you can help! We had the honor of baking our pupcakes for Grandview Island, Va. dog show! We hope all the pups enjoyed their “good girl” or “good boy” yummies.
We also got to create a special cake for one of the Goodest Boys, Ryder for our dear friend!

Did you know we also make our own dog treats?? With natural peanut butter, whole wheat flour and coconut oil they are much better for your four legged children than the store bought ones!
Rilyn also created some frozen pup treats in our freezer with plain Greek yogurt, bananas and natural peanut butter. Sure to cool them down on these hot summer days!
So many things for EVERYONE in your household!

You know what we won’t talk about here? The struggle. We will talk about the JUGGLE! We all know what hardship feels like and we all know what success feels like. To everyone reading my posts that is juggling emotions, schedules, work, home, menus, cooking, cleaning..you name it. WE SEE YOU! Thank YOU for supporting my juggling act and allowing me to be with this stud and his friends for 5 days where he showed off his mad skills. We work hard in this family and we see and support everyone working right along side us.

The bakery is CHOCKED FULL of goodies! We’ve got cupcakes, cheesecakes, chicken salad, puppy treats, key lime pie and so much more!
