This Sunday, April 12th, we roll into the This and That Market in Jackson, formerly Finder’s Keepers. Second event of the season. Year 10 of making pizza that Jackson shows up for.

We’ll be there from 10 to 4 with the wood-fired joint, doing what we’ve always done. Turning out the pies you’ve been thinking about all winter. The ones that bring people together without trying too hard.

This Saturday we’re rolling into the Southern Michigan Winter Beer Festival at Keeley Park for the first event of 2026. Hard to believe, but it also marks the start of our tenth year out here doing pizza.

Ten years of lighting the oven in cold parking lots and summer fields. Ten years of dough hitting the peel, slices passed across the counter, and conversations that start with pizza and end somewhere better.

Michigan in March still carries a little winter in its bones, but that first event of the season always feels like a small homecoming. The trucks come back to life. The fire wakes up. And we get to see a lot of familiar faces again.

If you’ve been waiting for the smell of the oven and a hot slice in your hands, this is where year ten begins.

Ten years ago we lit a fire and hoped someone would gather around it. You did. Through late summer nights, cold sidelines, weddings, fundraisers, and the everyday moments that turned into memories. This Valentine’s Day, stepping into Year Ten, we just want to say.

Over the last ten years, this pizza life has taught us something important.

Community is not built by one truck or one oven. It is built by people who show up for each other, even when there is nothing in it for them.

This Friday, we will be cooking at the Jackson Interfaith Shelter as part of Slice Out Hunger's . It is a day about using what we know how to do to take care of our neighbors.

If you have ever felt like you wanted to give a little time back, this is one of those moments. We could use a few extra hands on Friday from 1-5pm to help prep, serve, and be present.

No experience needed. Just kindness and respect.

Today is National Pizza Day.

For us, pizza has never just been about dough and sauce. It has been about people showing up. Around the trailer. Around the truck. Around a table. Around each other.

As we head into our tenth year, we are feeling especially grateful for everyone who has supported this little rolling pizza dream. Every slice sold, every kind word, every night you chose us helped make moments like this week possible.

This Friday, we will be making pizza not for business, but for community. We will be spending the day cooking at the Jackson Interfaith Shelter as part of Slice Out Hunger’s Pizza Across America. More on that soon.

For now, thank you for ten years of believing in what pizza can do.

The Art-O-Mat at Jackson Coffee Co. is officially restocked, loaded, and humming again.

Little works of art, built by the hands of the people who make this city feel like home, waiting behind those chrome levers like tiny time capsules. Perfect for stockings, secret swaps, or that one friend who says they don’t need anything but you know they’ll light up when something unexpected hits their palm.

We love this machine because it feels like Jackson itself: a little old-school, a little rebellious, and full of creators doing their thing in the shadows and the daylight. Tiki Sam packed it tight with fresh pieces, ready for the season.

🍕The Power of Pizza People🍕

Yesterday was Tiki Julie’s birthday—and while she was up in Traverse City for a conference, I (Tiki Sam) was holding things down back home, wishing I could be there to celebrate with her.

So I did the next best thing: I called in a favor from the pizza family.

I reached out to the crew at Charles & Reid Detroit-Style Pizza charlesandreiddetroitpizza and let them know Julie and her team were rolling in for dinner. Without hesitation, Dan and Jo rolled out the red carpet. They didn’t just feed her - they took care of her. They made her feel seen, celebrated, and completely at home.

That’s the thing about this pizza world - it’s not just ovens and ingredients and sold-out slices. It’s people. It’s family. It’s the kind of invisible thread that connects us across cities and state lines. The kind of bond that doesn’t need explanation - just a name, a message, and a little heads-up that someone special is walking through the door.

Julie came home glowing. Full of stories. Full of pizza. Full of love. And super cool Charles & Reid shirt (color me jealous)

And I’m just here, beyond grateful - for her, for them, and for all of you who carry this strange, beautiful, fire-fueled culture forward.

Thank you, Dan & Jo. You made her night. You reminded me why we do this.
