🔥 Forecast in Texas: Surface of the sun.
🏔️ Forecast in the mountains: Cool breeze, low 70s, no regrets.

We took one look at that triple-digit heat and said… “Yeah, we’re gonna need a few more days.” 😅

So we’re pressing snooze on reality and staying in the mountains a little longer… soaking up the fresh, cool mountain air, catching trout, and doing our best not to feel guilty.

Don’t worry! We miss y’all as much as y’all miss our our homemade steakfingers and gravy. We’ll be back Wednesday, July 23rd.

For 52 years, she served generations of families in Haskell. She was our family historian and a wealth of facts and information about the community of Haskell. She had a smile and a wave for every car at the drive-thru or person who stepped up to the dining room window to order. She had her ways of doing things and kept us all in line. Azile remembered the way every customer wanted their order and was not one to make a mistake. She loved her people hard and made sure we all had lives full of experiences and memories. We already miss her presence. She was small in size but big in personality and love. We love you, Azile. The kids will certainly miss their Boo Boo. ❤️

Billie Azile Cunningham Larned, 81, of Haskell, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2025 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas. She was a Baptist. Azile was born on July 3, 1943 to William Chester Cunningham and Juanita Mae Jacobs Cunningham. She was born at home in McLean,
