📖 Celebrating 10 Years of Stories at Sweet Reads!
We are so proud to celebrate a major milestone for one of our downtown staples: Sweet Reads is officially marking 10 years of business in Austin! Owner Lisa Deyo’s journey to entrepreneurship began with a dream that took flight when she saw the SPAM Museum moving downtown, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Transitioning from a career in education to bookstore owner, Lisa has spent the last decade fostering a love for reading and community. One of her favorite things about running her store is seeing former students walking through her doors with children of their own, passing on the joy of literature to the next generation. As a dedicated Chamber member since day one, Lisa continues to enrich our town, including her wonderful work assisting with the Professional Newcomers book club alongside our Community Concierge, Kristen Olson.
