Healdsburg, CA – At 131 North Street in the heart of downtown Healdsburg, one of the country’s most accomplished chefs Kyle Connaughton, along with farmer and wife Katina Connaughton, have opened SingleThread Farm-Restaurant-Inn, a 55-seat fine dining restaurant with five exclusive suites. The experience at SingleThread offers guests a personalized culinary event that begins with canapés on the ro

oftop garden. Connaughton and his team will custom tailor one of three 11-course tasting menus featuring time-honored preparations of seasonally inspired cuisine. Guests will then proceed downstairs to the main dining room, designed by the award-winning AvroKO design firm, to enjoy the heart of their meal. In addition to an extensive à la carte wine menu, the dining experience will incorporate California-centric wine pairing options and a non-alcoholic pairing for a uniquely curated taste of Sonoma Wine Country. Having lived for many years in Japan, the Connaughton’s incorporate Japanese touches into SingleThread. Some offerings will include artisanal products, handmade custom dishes and donabe from 8th-generation master potters of Iga. SingleThread will focus on the concept of “omotenashi,” described as a heightened sense of hospitality and anticipation of a guest’s every need. The Connaughton’s added, “We have had the good fortune of beginning this journey together over two decades ago. Our paths have been mindfully carved-out, both individually and collectively by our mutual admiration and respect of nature, and by the healthy well-being of our family, friends, guests, and each other. SingleThread is a shared vision, and has been shaped by many mentors and experiences we’ve had throughout our lives. Now that our journey together has led us to Sonoma County, it is undeniably our greatest pleasure to grow new roots woven from our combined experiences and share our vision of hospitality.”

We believe some of the most memorable experiences begin with a sense of place. The Russian River has long been one of our favorite corners of Sonoma County, offering a quieter rhythm shaped by ancient redwood forests, winding waterways, and charming river towns.

Curated in partnership with Audi USA , this adventure invites guests to experience the Russian River region from behind the wheel of a fully electric Audi Q6 e-tron. Spend the morning beneath the old-growth canopy of Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, pause for lunch in Guerneville or Duncan Mills, or perhaps enjoy a picnic in the redwoods. The day concludes with a restorative soak beneath the trees at Dawn Ranch Spa, where the scent of cedar and the quiet of the surrounding forest invite complete relaxation.

Together with Audi USA , we are proud to offer guests of the Inn a collection of bespoke driving experiences designed to immerse them in the beauty, culture, and slower rhythms of Sonoma County. Every Audi Adventure can be shortened, extended, or tailored to each guest’s interests.

We take pride in sharing the places that inspire us here in Sonoma County. The landscape covers far more than the rolling vineyards of wine country — it extends through redwood forests, expansive mountains and valleys, and breathtaking roads that wind along the Pacific, where land meets the sea.

Our team has thoughtfully curated a selection of exclusive itineraries featuring the fully electric Audi SQ6 e-tron, inviting our guests to immerse themselves in the region and experience all that Sonoma County has to offer.

The coastal adventure itinerary features McEvoy Ranch as the first stop, for an olive oil tour and tasting at the family-owned estate in the rolling hills of Petaluma. Weekday reservations include the option to view outdoor sculptures and paintings from the McEvoy private art collection. From there, the journey continues west through dairy farmland to Tomales Bay, landing in the small coastal community of Marshall for a tour and lunch at Hog Island Oyster Co. — a behind-the-scenes look at their process and their commitment to craft and ecological community.

Every Audi Adventure is bespoke, and any itinerary can be shortened or extended to each guest’s needs. To book an Audi Adventure or inquire about personalized travel itineraries, please reach out to [email protected].

Together with Audi USA , we’re proud to offer guests of the Inn an opportunity to experience the surrounding beauty of Sonoma County from behind the wheel of a fully electric Audi Q6 e-tron. Whether driving through Healdsburg or looking for an afternoon adventure, this amenity is available to all guests of our Inn.

For many of our guests, the first drive leads to the farm. Just minutes from the Inn, our farm in Dry Creek Valley is where everything at SingleThread begins: in the rows of vegetables, herbs, and flowers that shape our menus and mark the passage of the seasons. Guests are welcome to wander the property at their leisure, stop by our farm store, or join our farm team for a guided tour to see our work up close.

Driven by nature and fueled by a sense of place, we are always seeking new ways to deepen our guests’ connection to the land. With Audi, we share an aligned mission of building towards a more sustainable future — which is why we are proud to offer zero direct emission transportation for exploring this region we call home.

To arrange a drive during your stay, please reach out to our concierge team.

There is a particular generosity to Dry Creek Valley in late summer. The corn is just beginning, the peaches have gone heavy on the branch, and the tomatoes have finally come into their own. Onions cure in the field, eggplant deepens by the week, and the valley settles into the fullness this season has been building toward.

Pictured above is the Sonoma Milk & Honey, our take on a California cheese course. At its center is an entremet of Mt. Eitan Gefen, a soft-ripened goat’s milk cheese made from the first milk of the year, sourced entirely from Redwood Hill Farm in Sebastopol. It’s paired with a warm red walnut pastry made with red walnuts from Bertagna Family Farms, and a lightly fermented ume honey soda finished with beeswax and wildflower foam.

We look forward to welcoming you in August!

Reservations for the restaurant are available through August 31st, and for the Inn through September 30th.

On July 6, we are honored to host an extraordinary evening at .by.singlethread at Capella Kyoto in Kyoto, bringing together the wines of and the seasonal cuisine of our counter in Miyagawa-cho.

Château d’Yquem is one of the world’s most singular estates, shaped by the terroir of Sauternes, generations of savoir-faire, and a commitment to harvesting only at the precise moment of transformation. This evening marks their only dinner in Japan, with five vintages spanning nearly five decades, including bottles sourced exclusively for this night.

Paired with an eight-course menu guided by the farms and artisans of the Kansai region and the agricultural ethos of our Sonoma County roots, this is a rare opportunity to sit with wines of this depth in an intimate setting of our home in Kyoto.

We hope you’ll join us in Kyoto this July.

Last week, we welcomed our friends from KATO RESTAURANT and Harbor House Inn to Healdsburg for an incredible collaboration dinner presented by OpenTable and Visa.

In the days leading up to the dinner, Chef Kyle and Katina were joined by jon yao and Ryan of Kato, along with .kamm of Harbor House Inn, for a walk through the farm. Together, the teams explored the season’s harvest and selected ingredients, bringing the collaboration menu to life.

Drawing from his Taiwanese-American heritage and San Gabriel Valley upbringing, Chef Jon Yao’s cuisine at Kato reflects the diasporic spirit of Los Angeles and a deep commitment to seasonality. At Harbor House, Chef Matthew Kammerer’s approach is guided by the rugged Mendocino Coast, where the surrounding ocean, forests, and fields determine what is cooked and when. Together with produce harvested from our farm and exceptional ingredients shared from both Kato and Harbor House, this one-of-a-kind menu came to life for a single evening only through the collaboration of all three teams.

Gatherings like these create opportunities to share perspectives and exchange culinary knowledge, leaving a lasting impression on both our guests and our teams alike.

Thank you to the Kato and Harbor House teams for making the journey to Sonoma and for sharing their creativity and craftsmanship with us. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and look forward to many more collaborations.

We are incredibly proud to be named among the 99 restaurants in the world to receive the Wine Spectator Magazine (21+ to follow) — marking our sixth consecutive year holding this distinction.

This recognition is a reflection of the extraordinary work, knowledge, and care of Wine Director Chris McFall (Chris McFall) and the amazing SingleThread sommelier team. Their thoughtful approach to pairing and genuine passion for sharing the stories of producers near and far continue to shape one of the defining elements of the SingleThread experience.

Congratulations to our entire SingleThread sommelier team on this well-deserved honor. We are grateful for all that you do and proud to celebrate this milestone together for the sixth year in a row.

As we approach the release of our first book this October, we’re excited to share a few glimpses of the story within.

At its heart, this is a love story. One that begins with two teenagers meeting at a punk show in Southern California and unfolds through the people, places, and experiences that eventually brought us to Healdsburg and the team we’re grateful to work alongside today.

This fall, we look forward to placing the full story in your hands. A reflection on the journey that brought us here, the philosophies that continue to guide us, and a year shaped by the seasons at SingleThread.

Thank you for following along over the last 10 years. Pre-orders are available through the link in bio.
