As a proud member of this wonderful community, we are truly grateful for your continued support and kindness throughout the year. Because of you, our small restaurant continues to grow and thrive.

To celebrate the New Year, we will be sharing lucky red envelopes with our customers as a small token of our appreciation.

In 2026, the Chinese Lunar New Year falls on Tuesday, February 17, and we are excited to celebrate this special occasion with you.

In Chinese tradition, red envelopes symbolize blessings, prosperity, and good fortune for the year ahead. Though small, they carry our sincere wishes for you and your family — good health, happiness, and success in everything you do.

Thank you for being part of the Peking Wok family. We are honored to serve you.

Wishing you a joyful and prosperous New Year! 🎉

As the weather cools down, there’s nothing better than a bowl of hot, comforting soup! 🍲
At Peking Wok, our rich chicken broth is the heart of our signature soups and even the secret base of many of our sauces (vegetarian dishes excluded).
Warm, flavorful, and soul-soothing — the perfect cure for autumn chills.

Come cozy up with a bowl at Peking Wok and welcome the season with us! 🍂

Dear Peking wok customers

Due to rising costs caused by inflation, credit card processing fees have also become more expensive. Under normal circumstances, we would adjust menu prices to balance our expenses. However, understanding that everyone is facing challenging times, we have not raised our prices for an entire year. To help offset these costs, we will be implementing a 3% credit card surcharge starting next month.

We sincerely hope for your understanding and support as we strive to maintain high-quality service while managing increasing expenses. Thank you for your cooperation!

We also welcome any suggestions or feedback from our valued customers. Your support means a lot to us!

This year, Chinese New Year falls on January 29th, marking the start of the Year of the Snake. There are two key traditions that define the celebration: giving red envelopes (hongbao) and enjoying the annual New Year’s Eve dinner. In Chinese culture, red is a color of great significance. It symbolizes luck, happiness, and prosperity, representing a year filled with good fortune and joy. Red also embodies warmth, passion, hard work, love, and the spirit of resilience—ushering in days of vitality, courage, and positive energy.

The New Year’s Eve dinner is a time for families to come together, celebrating unity and the promise of a fresh start. Several dishes are considered essential, each carrying its own meaningful symbolism. Dumplings, for example, represent wholeness and togetherness, wishing for harmony and happiness in the year to come. Chicken is a symbol of good fortune, while sweetened chicken signifies a year filled with sweetness, love, and blessings. Noodles, which represent longevity, are a wish for a long and healthy life. Certain vegetables are chosen for their homophonic connection to wealth, as their names sound like the word “fortune” (财), symbolizing the hope for prosperity in the new year.

On the first day of the new year, families come together to share this festive feast, celebrating not only the start of the year but also the joy of being with loved ones. To mark the occasion, Peking Wok will be offering red envelopes to all customers who visit, wishing everyone a joyful, prosperous, and fulfilling Chinese New Year. May this year bring you happiness, health, and success in every endeavor!
