After running the Highspire Diner for seven years, I will be retiring Oct 1, due to health issues. It has been an honor to serve my customers. Owning an original 50s diner had always been a dream of mine. The Highspire Diner made that dream come true.

Starting Oct. 3, my brother, Andy, and sister-in-law, Julie, will take over the business. Andy and Julie are no strangers to the Highspire Area. Previously, they owned and operated the 230 Café. They have worked side-by-side with me over the past few weeks to smoothly transition ownership. They are excited to be back in Highspire and to serve you.

This diner has been my baby, my favorite endeavor. It will be hard to walk away from the diner and from you, my wonderful customers. I want to thank you for supporting me. I appreciate everyone who walked through our doors and the great friendships that I developed with you over the years.

I have worked in the restaurant business all my life, but I am looking forward to retiring. I am excited to visit beaches all along the East Coast, attend car shows and travel to see my son and his wife in North Carolina.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your patronage. Thank you for helping to make my dream come true.
