My name is Ayesha. I live in Hilliard, Ohio but I am originally from Pakistan. Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion, and giving. As we prepare to observe this holy month, let's come together to support those in need the most, the families in Pakistan who are struggling to make their ends meet. I am having a drive to collect donations during the holy month of Ramadan to provide food and cooking supplies to the needy families in Pakistan. Last year, a friend of mine and I collected donations and provided boxes of food which contained goods, such as rice, wheat flour, essential dry cooking supplies, etc. to more than 50 families. We have no charity organization and are doing it at personal level, so there will be no overheads. 100 percent of donated money will be used to purchase food ingredients and distributed to needy families.

Your generosity can make a world of difference to some during this Ramadan. There are many families who need help. How many of them, we will be able to help will depend on the donations we collect. Some of these families are eligible for zakat. Zakat, fitrana, sadqa, khairat, all can be contributed for this drive.
