Sometimes the simplest burgers are the ones that stand the test of time.

This week we’re paying tribute to one of the originals with The Burger: Edition 104 • Oklahoma Fried Onion — a classic Oklahoma-style smash burger featuring onions smashed directly into the patty, melted cheddar cheese, house-made fancy sauce, and pickles on a toasted sesame bun.

Legend has it the Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger was one of the very first smash burgers, created during the Great Depression when onions were added to stretch expensive beef a little further. What started as necessity became burger history.
