Hi all 👋👋

It's Friday July 17th and we are open until 6pm today!

No lettuce here, so no worries about that cyclospora 😅. Enjoy your treats safely ♥️🧁

We do have brownies, it's been over a year. We miss them, even with the high chocolate prices we decided to do a single batch of them for you today. They have a delightful French silk cream topping on 😍

We also have gourmet cookies in 10 options, small butterscotch cookies, 6 cupcake flavors, 4 scone options and 2 donut flavors ♥️

Plus quiche & frittata in my personal fav bacon, peppers and cheddar cheese (well 2nd personal fav flavor).

Freezer sale going on for another day - still lots of scones to choose from! A lot of vegan varieties!!

Staff have been having great discussions regarding the broken coffee maker and we think we have some ideas you all will love. More to come later once we have time to take action on the plans.

Protein bites are back in stock! Regular and chocolate flavor specifically.

New 🆕 gourmet cookie flavor of cotton candy - YUM. AND a sea salt caramel flavor on a regular base cookie, not a chocolate base! Quite a delight!

WE will be at the Friday Farmers market tonight 330-7pm at the HCCC 1815 Ward Ave La Crosse WI.
Some vendors may be inside due to the heat and if the air quality is poor. We plan on being outside as of now. That may change if the temperature gets extremely hot or the air quality gets poor again quickly. We will keep you updated on that.

Tomorrow we will be at the Winona farmers market 730am-noon at Levee Park
Sunday at the Onalaska Farm Fresh market from 8am-1pm at Ashley furniture parking lot.

Well friends, I have some news today.
As some of you know our coffee maker suddenly stopped working last week after almost 3 years of consistent use. I looked up the solution and today followed the directions only to find out, that's not what was wrong ☹️

So, the issue is bigger than the simple fix. We have to make a decision. Keep coffee as an option or get rid of it all together? If we keep it I'll have to buy a new machine. If we get rid of it all together we are also saying goodbye to quick hot tea and quick hot cocoa (we could still warm up water in the microwave realistically or I could bring a tea pot in and we could boil water for that).

To be totally honest, I've been struggling with what to do for drinks for a while. We are a bakery first and foremost that has basic coffee available. Yes we sell hot or iced coffee here and there, but sometimes we go days without selling a single cup.

So, what would YOU our customers like to see for drink options?
No drinks made at the store and only drinks that are already canned? Like what we carry, but maybe a more extensive offering. Bubbl'r, soda, Gatorade or Powerade, we could get other offerings that you would want to purchase.

Made drinks at the store like smoothies, frappes, etc?

Or should we go a different route and offer some other options?

Drop your comments and suggestions below! This decision will probably take me a bit to decide. So for now, the coffee is not available, unless it magically just works again one day 🤷‍♀️

Reminder we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Reminder the Tuesday market is closed due to extreme heat today in Onalaska.

While the bakery is closed, oftentimes I am still in prepping things that need to happen.
Today for example, the starter needed to be prepped for the pizza dough so we could mix the pizza dough this afternoon so it can be ready for us to roll out the sourdough pizza crusts tomorrow morning for an order that's being picked up Thursday.

The kids and I get to spend Monday's & Tuesdays together, so today they got to come to the bakery and help.
You'll notice a display of their perler beads art back up. They also restocked stickers, unpacked deliveries, swept floors, picked out some freezer treats and drew this beautiful art on one of our white boards. Really they are awesome helpers and both can't wait until they are old enough to actually work here ❤️

Hi friends 👋

The Tuesday farmers market for July 14th at Great River Landing has been cancelled due to the heat!

Most of the vendors had to back out due to the extreme heat index so the decision was made to cancel.

So, our markets this week will be
Friday July 17th 330-7pm HCCC 1815 ward ave La Crosse
Saturday July 18th 730am-noon Le Vee Park Winona
Sunday July 19th 8am-1pm Onalaska farm fresh market Ashley furniture parking lot

Reminder our store is closed Monday & Tuesday.

*We will have a freezer sale on baked goods this week due to an overbake for the Sunday market. I over estimated 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️. My mistake will be your gain. Sale will be stellar. Get there Wednesday for the best selection!!
