The bug was in my yard. I was out with my dogs at 4:30 this morning. I do not need to use a flashlight in order to "bug hunt" in the restaurant. This thing was like a German tank!

Good grief. We are going to close today at 11am (Wednesday the 8th) It seems that yesterday's power outage has caused some power glitches in the kitchen. Fix it man coming today.
So, please try to.get in prior to 10:45.
Almost a whole month without any problems.
Mary has some new hot sauce out there today. Devil's Cut (a combo of Datil, Ghost and Carolina Reaper....sounds good. Naturally, she has new Datil out there, two different sizes. She also has bottles of the Ghost Pepper. So, Jojo, ruler of our home, got her way and some of the sauces have her name on them. Then, Sadie threatened to sue us for "ageism" so she is on the new Ghost Pepper!

So sorry for the power loss today. On the upside, pretty sure Mary, Darren and myself lost a total of 100lbs trying to "close out" the kitchen without ANY ventilation. Grrrr. When I called they told me the estimated time it would be back on was 1:30. It came back on at 11:57 Thank God! At any rate Minnie's as well as the other 284 affected all have power again and will be open regular hours tomorrow. No idea what happened. A young man outside asked me if I knew, my stock answer "someone must have sneezed on the bridge" did not amuse him. I gotta say, that, hurricanes aside, we rarely lose power like we used to. Seemed it was a monthly thing ten or so years ago, and before. So thumbs up to FPL for whatever was done to make this a rarity. At our home (off island) we did not lose power during Helene, and had little to no damage. Milton caused lots of damage at our house, zero to the restaurant. Of course two weeks after Helene, Mary and I wrapped Minnie's in sand bags that were nearly as tall as me!
