Paper City Pulse

Paper City Pulse Holyoke's Online News | A Community of Ideas Paper City Pulse is Holyoke's online source for local news. This page is just the beginning.

It is a place to share ideas, start conversations and publicize events. It represents a vision for something greater. If and when we launch a website, it will do the following:

The Pulse will be built around sharing one piece of great content per day. Each article will be an in-depth, well-investigated piece written by a member of our team of local freelance journalists. We'll offer local busines

ses and organizations advertisements and sponsorships. In this way Paper City Pulse will support Holyoke's homegrown, local economy. The Pulse will give local politicians a space to share their positions in a thoughtful, detailed way. The Mayor, all City Councilors, our State Representative and our State Senator are invited to write a monthly column for the Pulse. Here's a sneak peak of some additional features we hope to include:
- a comprehensive calendar of local events
- a local job board
- many articles in Spanish; ideally a translation of every article
- reviews of local restaurants
- reporting by students about the public schools, including sports, events, etc.
- a recurring photo contest
- a recurring writing contest
