Yikes! What a slow start to our growing season... If you have or will have any rhubarb to spare, I will gladly buy or trade for ice cream for some. My rhubarb has not emerged yet and would love to start building a supply. I could use some fresh mint as well. Message me if you have any. Thanks! In that time, two things have remained consistent, the quality and the price! $9.99 still gets you a full pint of premium, small-batch ice cream. Be sure to drop by Save-U-More, Cole's Market, and Fritz Creek General Store and pick up a pint or two.

Thank you to Sherry and Steve Stead for hosting the annual fundraiser for Howl Alaska (Homer Wilderness Leaders) ! I would also like to thank everyone who came out to support HoWL and provide me with feedback on the ice creams and sorbets. As usual we all shared a lot of laughter, smiles and our love of ice cream. Leave a comment below to let others know what you thought of the event. Here are the results of your ratings for the various flavors...

#1) Brown Butter Ice Cream with Almond Brittle (On menu for 2026)
#2) Blueberry Sorbet (On menu for 2026)
#3) Strawberry Sorbet (On menu for 2026)
#4) Peppermint with Dark Chocolate Flecks ( New seasonal flavor)
#5) Fireweed Ice Cream (needs a little more work, but hoping to include for 2026)
#6) Pumpkin Ice Cream with Clove (needs a little more work for seasonal flavor)
#7) Spruce Tip Ice Cream (I'll have two versions based on feedback, subtle & not so subtle!)
#8) Oatmeal Cranberry Ice Cream (2 changes needed to improve flavor & texture)

Now it's time for me to come up with some names for each flavor.
