Life works better with story. So let me tell a story…
About 10 years ago, I was working in a coffee shop. I had a group of employees come to me and say, Miss Liz there is a homeless man sitting in the lobby and we can’t get him to leave. I go out to the lobby, and I es**rt the man outside the door , as he is saying, “I just need something to eat”. No sooner did the door closed that I realized I had missed my opportunity.

Show hospitality to strangers, for they may be angels from God, showing up as YOUR guest .
I quickly turn around to go back outside to give the man a sandwich and coffee, but he was no longer there….
Starting Monday, 4 December Principio coffee will match all donations given to purchase blankets for the homeless that we will be giving out on December 22. For less than $10 I am able to purchase a blanket for one of these angels!
I understand that there are warming stations that some of the homeless can go to in Birmingham. However, I need you to remember that these stations do not open up until 6 PM as we know it is dark by 4:30PM and cold and by 7 AM when most of you are tucked in your warm bed with your heating blankets on these angels are being kicked out of the warming stations. I know that if we come together, we will be able to purchase more than my goal, which is set at 50 blankets!!
