🎙️💫 This week, Wednesday May 27th, at Wednesday Night Poetry at Kollective Coffee+Tea, I am proud to feature Ada, Oklahoma poet and professor Ken Hada! Open mic starts at 6:30pm. Ken will begin his feature set at 7:30pm, followed by another round of open mic. Admission is free and open to all ages. All are welcome. WNP will always be a safe space.

⭐️ Ken Hada is professor and poet at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where he has directed the annual Scissortail Creative Writing Festival for 21 years. He lives and writes his poetry in the Crosstimbers of central Oklahoma. His works have been awarded by the National Western Heritage Museum, the SCMLA Prize for poetry, Western Writers of America, the Oklahoma Center for the Book, and presented on various NPR programs. Nexus (Turning Plow Press, 2026) is his latest book. More at kenhada.org

⭐️ Rick Christiansen is the author of Bone Fragments (2024) and Not a Hero (2025). Spartan Press. His work has received two 2025 Pushcart Prize nominations. He was a finalist for the RHINO Poetry 2025 Founders Prize and is featured in their 50th Anniversary edition. He is a jury selected finalist for the 2025 Rhysling Award and will be published in their 2026 annual. His poems can be found in North American Review, RHINO, Thimble, Pennsylvania English and Anti-Heroin Chic along with many other journals and publications. His poems explore survival, memory, class, and the residue of violence. He lives in Kansas City with his wife Kim and his dog B.
