Bashi Sichuan Handcraft Kitchen Many of you don't know that I'm from Chengdu, which is the capital city of Sichuan Province in China. Thank you!

However, when you tell people in China that you're from Sichuan, most people's first response would be "Oh man, you guys know how to eat over there!". Matter of fact, UNESCO declared Chengdu to be a City of Gastronomy in 2011 to recognize the sophistication of its cooking. Its cuisine has bold flavors, particularly the pungency and spiciness resulting from liberal use of garlic, chili peppers, as

well as the unique flavor of Sichuan pepper, and other various spices. I have always loved eating food and making food, and now I think it's time for me to bring the different dishes I've enjoyed so much throughout the years and share them with all of you - there is so much history, so many wonderful flavors and lots of dishes in Chinese and Sichuan cuisine outside of just “Sesame Chicken” or “Sweet and Sour Pork”! Every week I'll be offering a few different dishes available for free pick-up or delivery (with a small extra charge). There will be entree plates, which will include two or three different dishes with rice, noodles in different broths with different meats, dumplings, wontons, and baos, etc. Vegetarian options will also be available! I hope that at the end of the day, my food can put a smile on your face, make your tummy happy, and also broaden the horizon of your understanding of Chinese and Sichuan food culture.
