Yesterday was dads last day in business. He had a great run starting his career at the age of 12 working at Felix’s Mexican restaurant and several other well known Mexican restaurants in the Houston area until owning his own at the age of 26 August 1979. He devoted 57 years to this industry and great community we have called home for 43. One thing I will always admire about dad was the hard work he put in day in & day out. The other was his memory to remember his guests by name when they walked in. It was amazing to see this first hand as I was lucky enough to grow up in a industry that’s extremely hard on your family and professionally as many restaurants do not make it past a few months. One thing I will take from all of this is dad’s mission statement that if you take care of your guests and business, business will take care of you. Dad I want to thank you for everything I have learned working along side you and will forever be grateful for everything you have taught me. Although dad is retiring their is a new beginning to the next chapter in both of our lives. I love you dad hang in there and can’t wait for you to come home soon. ❤️🙏🏽
So long to Victor's Casa Garcia Mexican Restaurant, a Katy icon for 25+ years! Today is the last day they are serving food before closing their doors at their N. Fry Road location. Thank you for the delicious food and fun memories! Victor’s will be opening a new location at 99 & Morton. We will keep you posted. Gracias Amigos!
