Hey everyone! As many of you know, every year Tacos y Más has stayed open during severe weather and holidays. I’m posting to see which other locally owned businesses plan to be open as well.

Please 🙏🏽 this post isn’t for debates or safety lectures. Business owners have to keep the lights on and money coming in, and if they choose to open, that’s their decision. We believe in supporting our local businesses when they need it most.

We know you’re getting excited for the July Fourth holiday 🇺🇸 (like this cute fella Shadow is over at the Bedford Animal Shelter), but please keep your neighbors and pets in mind when thinking about setting off fireworks. Don't forget, it’s also illegal within City limits! ❌

Here are a few tips to make sure your furry family members are safe and comfy this July Fourth:

🎇 Keep pets secured inside your home.
🎇 Use ambient noise to mask the noise of the City’s fireworks, like leaving a TV on or the radio playing.
🎇 Make sure pets have access to their favorite spots and a safe place to hide.
🎇 Try using a Thundershirt to help with anxiety or keep your pet busy with their favorite toys.
🎇 Keep your pets collar on with ID tags.
🎇 If your pet is microchipped, make sure the microchip company has your current address and phone number.
🎇 If your pet goes missing, contact Bedford Animal Services at 817-952-2191 during business hours. For after-hours, contact the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 817-952-2127. Make sure to notify friends and neighbors in the area, and post on Facebook or Nextdoor for those to be on the lookout.
