Blending a Kenya AA with deep-toned Guatemalan coffee from Huehuetenango, and a fruity dry process Ethiopian lot from the West provides a creamy bittersweetness and punchy fruit accents coalesce in this year’s blend, with notes of burnt caramel, raspberry, chocolate-covered orange, toasted graham cracker, and a long deep-toned finish.

If you’ve ever looked at the front of a bag and discounted a coffee because you don’t like “chocolate” (are you okay?) or don’t want to taste “perfume floral” (we get it…that’s a little more confusing), it’s important to know that these coffees are not flavored.

With specialty coffee, the coffee world had to find a way to talk about the natural and unique differences of the coffee beans we roast as well as identify how different roasting techniques impact the final taste.

Google “coffee tasting wheel” or “coffee sensory lexicon” if you want to nerd out with us about this.

TLDR: Sometimes tasting notes are obvious. Other times they are more subtle. But don’t let that stop you from trying something new.
