Independence Day is almost here!

If you're heading downtown for Saturday's parade, make Gedney part of your celebration.

Stop in before the parade to grab your favorite scratch-made pastry or breakfast treat, along with a fresh cup of coffee, an iced latte, tea, or lemonade. If you're already enjoying the festivities, we're just a short walk away and the perfect place to pop in for a tasty treat.

We'll be open Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to Noon, giving you plenty of time to stop by before or during the morning's festivities.

Whether you're kicking off the holiday weekend, heading to the parade, or enjoying all the festivities around Independence, we'd love to see you!

After a short break, we're excited to welcome you back to Gedney Bakery & Coffeehouse beginning tomorrow, Friday, June 26.

We'll be open with our regular hours, starting at 6 a.m., so stop in and kick off your weekend with your favorite coffee, a scratch-made pastry, breakfast, or lunch.

Summer Punch Cards are back beginning June 19th! 🎉

With 17 participating businesses, including many of your favorite Independence restaurants, boutiques, salons, and specialty shops, it's the perfect excuse to shop local all summer long!

Here's how it works:
⭐ Spend $10 at any participating business and earn 1 punch.
⭐ Collect 10 punches to fill your card.
⭐ Fill out the back with your name and phone number, then leave it at any participating business to be entered into our weekly drawing for $25 in Shop Historic Dollars!

🎁 Every completed punch card is also entered into our Grand Prize Drawing for $100 in Shop Historic Dollars!

Happy Father's Day from all of us at Gedney Bakery & Coffeehouse!

This Sunday, June 21, we celebrate the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures who have encouraged us, taught us, supported us, and helped shape our lives.

Whether you're treating Dad to a favorite coffee, sharing a pastry around the table, or simply spending time together, we hope your day is filled with meaningful moments and good company.

We also recognize that Father's Day can be difficult for those whose dads are no longer with us. We hold you in our thoughts as you remember and honor them.

We'll be open Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Father's Day will also be our last day open before a short summer break. We will be closed Monday, June 22 through Thursday, June 25, and will reopen on Friday, June 26.

Gedney Bakery & Coffeehouse will be closed Monday, June 22 through Thursday, June 25 so our team can enjoy a well-deserved break.

At Gedney Bakery & Coffeehouse, we believe you can taste the difference.🥐

Every day, our bakers arrive early to make our breads, scones, muffins, cookies, pastries, and other baked goods from scratch right here in our kitchen. We don't order frozen bakery items from large distributors and simply reheat them. We mix, shape, bake, and finish our products ourselves using quality ingredients and time-honored baking techniques.

It's more work, but it's worth it.

When you stop into Gedney, you're enjoying bakery items made by people who care deeply about quality, craftsmanship, and giving our community something truly fresh each day.
