We survived. Barely. 🥵

Three days in the Indiana sauna, roughly 10 pounds of sweat, and enough beer to maintain proper hydration later… the patio is almost ready.

Just don’t sit yet unless you’re looking to leave with a complimentary satin black-colored backside. 🖤🍻

🚧 Patio Progress! 🍻

Today’s forecast was 95° with a 100% chance of regretting every life decision. 🥵

The shade tent was deployed, the framing is up, and nobody passed out (officially).

Redwood arrives tomorrow, and if everything goes according to plan, we’ll have the major construction wrapped up around noon.

After that… it’s just beer, benches, and bad decisions. 🍕🍺

🚧 Excuse our mess… we’re building something pretty cool. 🍻

As promised, the patio is officially coming to life! Despite two trips to the hardware store and a few game-day design changes, we’re making great progress.

One thing we didn’t fully appreciate? This front sidewalk isn’t flat… at all. 😅 It’s not even sloped in one consistent direction. Every post, every rail, and every cut seems to have its own angle. Geometry class is officially back in session. 📐 Why can’t everything just be 90° and 45°? 😭🤦🏻‍♂️

We got a lot done this morning, but once the sun crested the building, it went from “Let’s build a patio!” to “Why does it feel like we’re working on Mercury?” 🥵☀️

That means it’s officially beer o’clock. 🍺

If all goes according to plan, we’ll be wrapping things up by high noon on Friday… assuming Mother Nature and the beer gods cooperate.

Thanks for sticking with us while we continue investing in your neighborhood taproom. We can’t wait to share the finished product with you! 🍕🍻

We’ve been talking about this patio for so long, some of you probably thought it would never happen! 🍻

Not this time.

The materials are in, and we officially get to work this week! 🔨

Follow along as we transform the front of The Abandoned Station into an even better place to gather over great beer, great pizza, and good company.

We can’t wait to share it with you—and yes, we’ll post plenty of progress photos along the way! 🍕🍺

TEN YEARS AGO: When we took the plastic off these tanks (before they were named Zelda, Shuri, and Bubblegum), we didn’t know exactly where this road was going to lead. There wasn’t a five year plan, there was a next week plan. All we really knew was that we wanted to make some great beer for ourselves, for our friends and family, for Cincinnati, and for you. 🫶

It’s ten whole years later, and those tanks are quickly rolling up on their millionth (!) can of beer. As we head toward these milestones only made possible by you, our extended Streetside family, we just wanted to say thanks (again). 🙏 💞
