We had a local celebrity stop by Rodney’s last week!

A big thank you to Giorgio from Giorgio’s Oldies Café on 97.5 FM for joining us for a meal. If you spend your Sunday mornings listening to classic hits, there’s a good chance you’ve heard Giorgio sharing the music and memories that so many of us enjoy.

We’re always grateful when members of our local community choose Rodney’s, and it was a pleasure having him with us. Thanks for stopping in, Giorgio—we hope to see you again soon! 🎶🍽️

Some of our employees don’t like being in the spotlight… and Michael is definitely one of them. In fact, he refuses to let us put his picture on our website, so all we have is a picture of his shoes. 😊

But every now and then, a review comes along that’s simply too good not to share.

Tammy and the Brown family recently left us this incredible message:

“As I sit here thoroughly enjoying my leftovers, I wanted to give a big thank you to all of the staff who worked last night.

We were celebrating a few occasions and everyone made it special. Our family is spread from Pittsburgh to 7 Springs and Rodney’s is the perfect location and the ONLY place we can all agree on. We’ve never had a bad meal.

I travel all over the US and Canada for business and eat out almost daily. Without a doubt, Michael is the best server I have ever encountered. He was so patient with all of us, extremely attentive and knew our needs without us having to ask.

I’ve known Michael for a long time, and one thing he has always said has stuck with me. He was taught that dining out should never be just about the meal. It’s an experience to be shared with family, a time to celebrate milestones, create memories, and enjoy being together. The food is important—but it’s the people around the table that make it special.

That philosophy is exactly how Michael serves every guest who walks through our doors, and reviews like this show that people notice.

Michael, thank you for representing Rodney’s with such professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. You help create the kind of experiences that families remember long after the plates have been cleared.

We may only be able to show Michael’s shoes, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned, they’re pretty hard to fill. 🇺🇸Just a reminder that Rodney’s Restaurant will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th so our amazing staff can spend the holiday with their family and friends.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community, and we’re especially grateful for the men and women who have sacrificed to protect the freedoms we celebrate this Independence Day.

Today we're going to do something that Shannon would probably rather we didn't... 😊

If you've ever been to Rodney's Restaurant, chances are you've seen Shannon. She isn't one to seek attention, and you'll rarely find her wanting to be in the spotlight. In fact, she'd probably rather today go by quietly.

But some people deserve to be celebrated because of the way they make everyone around them feel. For us here at Rodney's that's our Shannon.

While Rodney may be the face many people associate with the restaurant, those of us who work here know just how much of Rodney's heart comes from you. You have a way of bringing peace into a busy day, encouragement into difficult moments, and a smile that somehow makes everyone else's day a little brighter.

Thank you for always making the staff feel appreciated, welcomed, and cared for. Your positive spirit, genuine kindness, and quiet strength create the kind of atmosphere that can't be taught—it simply comes from who you are.

🚗 Parking Lot Full? Don’t Let That Stop You!

One of the most common things we hear is, “We drove by, but the parking lot looked full!”

Here’s a little Rodney’s secret: We actually have more seats than parking spaces. 😊

Many times our back room is hosting a bridal shower, baby shower, celebration of life, reunion, or other private event. While those guests may fill a large portion of the parking lot, our main dining room and bar can still have plenty of room available for lunch or dinner.

So the next time you drive by and see a busy parking lot, don’t assume we’re full. Come on in, check with our hostess, and let us find you a table!

We love seeing a full parking lot—it means people are making memories at Rodney’s—and there’s a good chance there’s still room for you to make some memories too. ❤️🍽️

Happy Father’s Day to Rodney and to all the incredible dads out there. ❤️

Today, we’re especially thankful for Rodney — not just for the restaurant he built, but for the example he sets every day. As a father, husband, son, boss, and friend, he leads with hard work, integrity, generosity, and a genuine love for people. His family, employees, and even the guests who walk through our doors have been impacted by the example he continues to set.

For over 30 years, Rodney has built more than a restaurant. He has built a community. We are grateful as employees to be part of the work family he has created, where so many of us have grown, learned, laughed, and shared life together. We are equally thankful for the countless patrons who have become part of the Rodney’s family over the years. What started as a restaurant has become a place where friendships are formed, milestones are celebrated, and memories are made.

Rodney’s impact can be seen in the family he loves, the work team he leads, and the community he has built around him.
