Reminiscing over here just a bit. Another long week has passed and we are looking back on many, many months ago when we used to hold school field trips in and the kids would cozy around with fresh scones and hot cocoa listening to Mark tell the history of the cafe. How much we wish we knew then to be grateful we had these opportunities ♥️

Our youngest wore this sweatshirt at the park this week in Tennessee. Someone asked what “The Carriage House” was and I’ll be honest, I teared up telling them. 😢 So many good memories were made around those tables together! All the guests that were more friends than customers and all the employees that were more family than friends ♥️ Really hoping the right family will come along to take over and do something amazing for the Ithaca community!

ANNOUNCEMENT!! 💥💥💥
This is a very bittersweet day for us to say the least. So many, many memories have been shared around these tables. We have seen people get engaged, celebrate birthdays, share sorrows, there have been “first” brunches and “last” brunches here, tears, laughs and cheers. Ultimately all over locally roasted coffee and locally grown food. Our team has employed hundreds of community members over 20 years. Almost all of our family has worked here and it will forever hold the dearest place in our hearts. As a family the time has come to move on but we have every hope this special place will fall into the hands of someone who will continue to support the Ithaca community. ♥️

It’s official- today our beloved cafe goes up for sale. It’s been a beautiful 20 year journey and we are beyond grateful for the amazing people we have had the honor to work with, the incredible guests we have had the opportunity to serve and the community for loving us.
